County Parks & RecreationBoundary County Parks and Recreation Board maintain two public parks, two public boat launch facilities and offers a variety of structured activities for both youth and adults.Memorial ParkMemorial Park is next to the Boundary County Fairgrounds west of Bonners Ferry City and has a playground, a covered pavilion for family or group functions, picnic facilities, a dump station for recreational vehicles and the only skateboard park in Boundary County. Also, there are lighted tennis courts, four softball fields and a soccer field.Riverside ParkRiverside Park is located off District 2 Road at the north end of the Kootenai River Bridge. This park features two softball diamonds and bleachers situated so both games can be watched. The park has a natural area including a pond, native flora and a habitat for birds and animals.Boat LaunchBoundary County Parks and Recreation Board owns and maintains two boat launches on the Kootenai River. Both launches have docks for fishing. The Deep Creek Boat Launch, located on County Road 18 between Bonners Ferry and the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge, has restrooms and picnic tables. The Copeland Launch is located on County Road 45 north of the Mt. Hall Junction. The Copeland launch has restrooms and the launch enters into a serene part of the river. |
