Idaho makes magazine's list of best places to hunt

If the hunting party camped next to you is from California, then you're probably not surprised by this -- A national sportsmen's magazine says Idaho is one of the best states for big game hunting in the West. Outdoor Life magazine put Idaho on it's Top Five list this fall for its easy access to public lands that cover two-thirds of the state, as well as the 20-thousand big game hunting tags that are available to non-residents for a reasonable price. Other top states making the magazine's list included Montana for its combo elk-and-deer nonresident tag that sells for 643-dollars. Colorado scored as the best state to hunt elk. Alaska got the nod for its sheer abundance of backcountry and Wyoming made the grade for its plentiful supply of non-resident antelope tags - Full Story
