Vice president embraced by nearly 2,000 loyal Republicans

They arrived in pickups and sedans, SUV and vans. They wore cowboy hats and baseball caps. A few wore furs, but more wore leather jackets and, like another GOP vice president's wife decades ago, "good Republican cloth coats." And kids. Lots of kids. Kids singing. Kids handing out posters and flags and red-white-and-blue pom-poms. Some munched on cookies, not quite sure what was going on. - Full Story
