Idahoans want more info about high gas prices

If you've been to the gas pump recently, you may have noticed you're paying a bit less than you were a few months ago. But last fall, Idaho had the highest gas prices in the nation. At that time, many Idahoans were calling for an investigation to find out why. As a matter of fact, a recent survey shows a majority of Idahoans want Idahos attorney general to have more power to get to the bottom of our high gas prices. By law, Idahos attorney general can only investigate price gouging at the retail level, and only when the governor or president declares an emergency. But according to a recent AAA survey, 87 percent of Idahoans would support giving the attorney general the authority to investigate wholesale level gas prices too, in a similar emergency situation. - Full Story
