The non-profit, Bonner County-based Wild Rose Foundation is proposing to spend a minimum of $20 million for construction of a University of Idaho and North Idaho College campus on Boyer Avenue across from Sandpoint Airport. The foundation also is offering to donate a portion of the same parcel to Lake Pend Oreille School District for construction of a new high school. The preliminary proposal will be heard by the Idaho State Board of Education at its Feb. 22 meeting at Boise State University. The proposal is in its early stages, according to a statement from The Wild Rose Foundation. "While the foundation is very encouraged by these early phases of discussion, many details remain to be addressed and further information will be made available to the public as the process moves forward." - Full Story
