Schweitzer unveils ambitious, $10M expansion

Schweitzer Mountain announced a major, $10 million expansion project Thursday which will include demolishing one chair lift to make way for two new, high-capacity lifts. Beginning in April with the end of the 2006-07 ski season Schweitzer will demolish Chair One and in its place build The Basin Express, a high-speed detachable quad lift which will be situated below the current load station for Chair One and will travel 3,700 feet up the hill and drop skiers off near the runout of The Face. - Full Story
