High School bomb threat just a hoax

About 8:16 Thursday morning, the secretary at Sandpoint High School received a call from a person saying there was a bomb in the school. The school began emergency evacuation, bussing students off the premises, originally to the Bonner County Fairgrounds. The school received another call from someone sounding like the previous caller at 8:23 a.m., reiterating that there was a bomb in the school, and that everyone had one hour to get out. Sandpoint police, fire department, school officials and other agencies conducted a visual sweep of school but found nothing. The threats were determined to be a hoax and students were readmitted to the school around 11 a.m. The Sandpoint Police Chief says they are vigorously following up on several leads, and will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. - Full Story
