Boundary County passes school levy

A one-point-seven (M) million dollar property tax levy has been approved by Boundary County voters. The two-year supplemental levy passed with nearly 58 percent of the vote. Superintendent Don Bartling said last week that if the levy failed the district would be forced to cut extracurricular activities, some principal positions and some teachers. The levy rate is one dollar and 21 cents per one-thousand dollars of taxable property value. - Full Story
