North Idaho College considers tuition hike

The board of North Idaho College is considering a possible tuition hike. Under the proposal, tuition would increase by nearly six percent, to $1,055 per semester for in-state students. Out-of-state students would pay just more than $3,300. Rolly Jurgens, the school's vice president for administration, says the hike would raise an extra $379,000 a year. That money would be used to cover increasing operating costs. Some of it could be used for salary increases. The board will likely vote on the proposal next month. - Full Story
