Idaho boosts scholarship money for in-state student leaders

The University of Idaho is trying to sweeten its scholarship pot. It's offering one-thousand-dollars in aid for in-state freshman starting in 2007 - if they were senior class president, student body president or honor society president. And the scholarship is renewable for a second year, provided the kids keep their grades above a two-point-eight G-P-A. Dan Davenport, director of admissions, says "The scholarship looks beyond academics to identify and provide financial support for our future leaders." The school is trying to lure more state students to its campus in Moscow, after enrollment declines. - Full Story
