The average food-and-lodging cost per day for a family of four is just over 220 dollars, less than the national average of 270 dollars. Triple A spokesman Dave Carlson says, "When we factor in Idaho's excellent recreational opportunities and lower vacation costs, there's reason to believe Idaho can be a great travel destination." The cheapest spots to vacation are North Dakota, at about 187 bucks a day, and Nebraska, at about 200 dollars. The most expensive are Hawaii, at 650 dollars daily, and Washington, D-C, at about 610 dollars. - Full Story |
